I had been watching day by day my poppies in the
garden and had taken several photographs of their
different stages of development and was pondering as
to how I was going to depict them. One morning there
it was the image that inspired me ! A couple of
petals had fallen off the flower leaving the new
seed head plump and fleshy the petals that were left
provided a beautiful natural frame for this new seed
pod. The foliage was such a bountiful mass of curls
and waves that it was an absolute pleasure to dive
into with the thick paint with free abandon.
