These Alliums (Onion Flower heads) were just coming
in to bloom and I just could not resist depicting
them with the ethereal fairy like quality that made
them stand out in front of the foil of the darker
foliage. These were a joy to paint as I just dropped
the purplely pink colour on to them and then just
put my finger print on the paint to create the round
patterns that radiate from the flower head
