Delphiniums always have a reputation for their blue
colour but it was the cream ones that caught my
attention this time, I have a fondness for green and
cream and a more monotone effect. I enjoy the drama
of the strong contrast of the dark background and
getting the initial structure of the painting laid
down and then I can indulge my self with applying
the finer detail in a more subtle manner when
building up the leaves and the shadows in the
background
